The A. Ray Olpin Student Union is following state and local health guidelines, Union Events and Scheduling can schedule meetings in the Union. Meetings must consist of only University of Utah students, staff and faculty and cannot exceed more than 20 people at this time.
All University of Utah Dining Services locations will be complying with all guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and the Utah Department of Health to ensure the safety of our students and associates. Dine-in seating options will be available but greatly reduced and configured to maintain social distancing guidelines.

The following measures will be included in the U's Dining Services safety plan at all food services on campus.

The Center for Child Care & Family Resources is providing child care available at all four campus locations for children 6 weeks to 9 years old (up until their 10th birthday) for children who are healthy and symptom-free. A private full-day kindergarten and school-age program with school work help are available. Face coverings are required for all adults. Drop-off and pick-up occur outside of child care spaces. The Feed U Pantry is taking precautions to keep both our volunteers and clients safe and healthy while keeping our services available as much as possible for the Spring semester. Those needing these services for the first time are asked to complete the First-time Visitor Form. Returning users should complete the Bag Request Form.

Currently enrolled U students are eligible for crisis and counseling services. The Counseling Center has been providing all services by telephone and secure video conference appointments since March 2020.
Students can schedule an initial intake appointment by calling 801-581-6826. Intake appointments will be conducted via Zoom. Same-day intake appointments are not available at this time.
Individual, group, and couple counseling are available to students residing in Utah. Medication management services are available for students actively engaged in counseling. The Mindfulness Center offers free daily workshops and drop-in meditation via Zoom, as well as specialty workshops.

Testing Center operations will be limited to ensure the safety of students, testers and staff. Mandatory protocols are now in place to minimize transmission risks of COVID-19. Testers must read and understand the rules before arriving to take the scheduled test as there will be no exceptions to these rules.
The University Testing Center will be disinfecting testing stations after every use. The center staff can help reschedule a test if needed and they appreciate your cooperation at 801-581-8733.

Students in need of vaccines, blood tests, TB testing, etc., MUST CALL 801-581-6431 to make an appointment.
The Student Health Center staff respectfully ask that before traveling to the clinic for any reason, especially COVID19 symptoms such as high fever, sore throat, cough, loss of smell, or shortness of breath, please contact us first at 801-581-6431. Symptoms will be discussed over the phone to determine type of visit (virtual or in person) and if referral for testing is necessary. For visits other than respiratory illness (e.g., injuries, well care, sexual health), students will be offered virtual or in person visits as appropriate for the appointment reason.

Fall 2020 UCard Services will be available for pick up beginning the first week of school in the courtyard behind the Union building. If you are receiving your first student/staff/faculty UCard, you will need to upload a photo using the PhotoUploader portal.
Please allow a couple of days for printing before attempting to pick up your UCard. Remember that having a valid legal photo ID present at the time of pick-up is required to receive your UCard. If you have special considerations that do not allow for the uploading of a photo via the web please contact us at ucard@utah.edu to schedule an in-office appointment for a photo.

The Eccles Student Life Center is requiring face coverings are required at all times while in the Student Life Center - including while working out. Face coverings are available for purchase at the front desk. Please stay home if you have any flu-like symptoms, no matter how mild. Reservations will be required for the pool, bouldering wall, courts, and group fitness classes.
Come ready to workout, as locker rooms will not be open at this time. Maintain physical distancing guidelines (minimum of 6 feet) and follow all posted signage in the building. Members will be allowed to bring their personal items with them in Legacy Gym and the third floor. Cubbies are available throughout the building.
Please wash, and sanitize your hands often, avoid touching your face and wipe down your equipment before and after use with provided sanitizing spray. Staff will also be cleaning and disinfecting the facility throughout the day.

The J. Willard Marriott Library is requiring a UCard ID for entry. The stacks will be closed; however, books, laptops, wifi devices, and other items will be made available in the level 1 lobby for pick-up or shipped to patrons.

Fall Move-in, August 18-23
Housing & Residential Education is enforcing social distancing and mandatory COVID-19 testing for residents during the move-in process to support the health and well-being of the community. All residents and friends/family assisting with move-in are required to wear face coverings.
Residents are allotted a maximum of 2 guests to assist on move-in day. Everyone arriving on move in day should wear a face covering. Please maintain a 6 feet distance between other groups. One family per elevator at a time.
No overnight guests will be allowed during the 2020-21 school year.

The U Campus Store Sandy Campus Store location is open Monday – Saturday and Campus Store Health is open Monday – Friday. Hours will vary by location so please visit the website for updated hours of operation. All customers are required to wear masks and maintain 6' social distance. Masks are available for purchase if a customer forgets their own. Orders can also be placed online with convenient contactless curbside pickup options. Many of the Natural History Museum of Utah’s exhibits have been adapted for interaction using a stylus, one of which will be issued to each guest upon arrival. The tool will allow visitors to explore the museum’s many hands-on interactive exhibits—including touchscreens, buttons, and dials—in a hands-free manner.
Tickets must be purchased via an online reservation system designed to limit crowding in the galleries. There will be mandatory requirements of face coverings for visitors over the age 2 and physical distancing between all parties. Hand-sanitizing stations have been placed frequently throughout the building and custodial staff have increased the frequency of all surface cleaning.
Reopening Wednesday, August 26, Wednesday-Friday noon-5 p.m.
Face coverings and social distancing are required inside the Utah Museum of Fine Arts. Advance tickets are encouraged as capacity will be limited to 100 visitors at a time, among other safety precautions.
Seniors and high-risk visitors may visit on these days between 11 a.m.-noon.

Located at the base of the Foothills and just east of the dorms, Red Butte Garden is open and free to students with a current UID.
