What does food do for you?
CARBOHYDRATES are your body’s main fuel source. They provide energy for movement.
FATS are not bad for you. They also provide you with lots of energy. Fat is especially important in sports that last a longer time, such as cross-country running, soccer or tennis.
PROTEIN is important for muscle health. Muscle gets tiny tears during exercise and protein is used to fix them.

NO MORE FLUMIST – WHICH MEANS MORE FLU SHOTS
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is dumping FluMist. In the past week a CDC advisory panel concluded the spray is so ineffective at protecting from the flu that it shouldn’t be used for the upcoming 2016-2017 season. The maker of Flu Mist, AstraZeneca, claims they have seen effectiveness levels of 57 percent or better, and vaccine experts are not sure why the mist isn’t working. However, none of that really matters to parents who are now wondering how to prepare their children to face the flu shot needle.

IS IT CANCER? WHAT TO LOOK FOR
Cancer isn’t always visible. So you’d think that skin cancer would be the easiest to detect since it could literally be on the back of your hand. But knowing if that patch on your skin is just a rash or something more serious isn’t as easy as it sounds.
