RADIATION SAFETY OFFICE

It doesn’t happen all that often, but departments on campus change their names.  The Radiological Health Department (RHD) is changing its name to the Radiation Safety Office (RSO). Although the name is changing, the mission remains the same: Overseeing all aspects of the radiation protection program at the University of Utah in order to protect the university community, the environment and members of the public. The primary purpose of the name change is to better reflect the work that we do.
