University of Utah Interim President Michael Good recently embarked on his first official summer road trip and the agenda was packed with opportunities to hear feedback and share information about the role the U plays as the state’s flagship university. The visit included meetings and tours with colleagues at Southern Utah University and Dixie State University (proposed name change: Utah Polytechnic State University); health care providers at Beaver Valley Hospital; Cedar City and St. George business leaders; U alumni and a few special stops in between. Next up, a similar trip to Davis County in July.

Good was joined by University of Utah leaders Dr. Lori McDonald, vice president for student affairs; Dr. Wayne Samuelson, medical school dean for education; Dr. Sara Lamb, medical school vice dean for education; Jason Perry, vice president for government relations; Jeff Herring, chief human resources officer; and Bill Warren, chief marketing and communications officer.
