When it comes to the COVID-19 pandemic it can feel like there are more questions than answers. This is especially true when it comes to returning to school for the fall semester. The University of Utah is trying to alleviate that uncertainty though with a new website aimed at providing students, faculty, staff and visitors the most up-to-date information keeping the campus safe and classes on track.

On coronavirus.utah.edu you will find all of the general information about safety precautions being taken on campus. We have worked hard over the past five months to come up with these policies and procedures and have worked with a wide range of stakeholders to make sure they will be suitable for members of the campus community. They include information about testing, contact tracing, physical distancing, hygiene guidelines and how to handle potential exposure to the virus.

In addition to general safety information, the site features checklists for those who will be coming to campus to teach, work, visit or attend classes. Each checklist includes forms you should review before the start of school, guidelines about how to interact with others when physically on campus and links to resources available. There is also information about proper sanitation practices and how to report if you have a positive COVID-19 test result.

To cover our bases, we created the “COVID-19 A-Z” page. There you can find information on pretty much anything you want to know. Is a museum open? Can you get a bite to eat in the Union? Do you qualify for emergency aid? We’ve got answers to those questions and more.

There are many forms and guidance documents regarding the COVID-19 outbreak that we have aggregated into one location on the website. The “Guidance Documents & Forms” page is continually updated as revisions to the various documents are made. Our goal is for you to have the most accurate information available.
