Ramadan is a sacred month in the Islamic calendar dedicated to help Muslims strengthen their spirituality through fasting and worship. During this month Muslims fast from dawn till sunset for approximately 14 hours, where they abstain from eating and drinking. This month is also a great opportunity to put aside our differences and focus on community building. This year, Ramadan will last approximately from April 2nd till May 2nd.
To celebrate this sacred month and honor the importance of building connections, MSA is holding a Community Iftar on Thursday, April 14th at 8PM at the Officer’s Club. Iftar is the breaking of the fast that commences after sunset. We would like to invite those who are fasting and those who are wanting to learn more about Ramadan to join us for this event.
Please RSVP before the event!
May you all have a blessed Ramadan!
