Campaign for our Community Spotlight
Individuals feel good when they support philanthropic causes. It increases work productivity, instills a sense of community in the workplace and assists non-profits to achieving their goals. We also support causes where there is a connection to something personal in our lives. The University of Utah’s 2018 Campaign for our Community is underway, and we are excited to participate in this year’s campaign.
We urge each member of the University faculty and staff to pledge your support through payroll deduction. The ease of giving allows you to:
- Support multiple non-profit organizations of your choice
- Easily make contribution changes as needed
- Enjoy the tax benefits of support to charitable causes
Our combined federations, Community Shares, Community Health, and United Way wish to thank all of our past donors and welcome new employees who are looking to help support the priceless work of our non-profit charities that strengthen our community and make living and working in Utah the best in the nation!

Call for nominations, Linda K. Amos Award

Nominations are being sought to recognizes an individual staff or faculty member who has selflessly given time and energy to improve the educational and/or working environment for women at the university. The nominee should represent the ideals and actions of Dr. Linda K. Amos, for whom the award was named. Throughout her career, she was the champion for improving the status and experience of women on campus.
Nominations must be made by a member of the university community (faculty, staff or student). Previously nominated candidates can be re-nominated by submitting updated materials congruent with the current award criteria.
Deadline for nominations is Friday, Jan. 19, 2018, at 5 p.m.

This award is made possible by the 2018 Women’s Week Committee, Presidential Commission on the Status of Women, and Office for Equity and Diversity. The award will be presented during the March 2018 Women’s Week celebration.
