Get up, get out and get active. For the first time since signing into the Healthier Campus Initiative six months ago, the U campus is participating in Healthy Campus Week. The goal is to ensure college students have access to healthier environments.
But this week’s events aren’t just for students. Faculty and staff are strongly encouraged to participate by making healthy nutritional choices and increasing physical activity.
- Join us on Tuesday, Sept. 24, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. in front of the Health Science Education Building for a Farmers’ Market. Tagge’s Fruit will have plenty of delicious seasonal fruits and veggies for sale.
- On Thursday, Sept. 26 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., come check out the campus Farmer’s Market just west of the Union Building. Grab some fresh produce brought to us by Harmons and enjoy other local vendors.
- Fruit N Veggies Friday is on Sept. 27. We’ll be passing out fresh fruit and veggies in front of the Union in order to celebrate from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Drop by and grab some produce, and have the opportunity to win some swag while entering into our bigger sweepstakes!
Throughout the whole week, participate in our social media sweepstakes for your chance to win cool gear from Target, Columbia, MINDBODY, The North Face and many others. All you have to do is tag #HealthyCampusSweepstakes and @uutah (Twitter) or @universityofutah (Instagram) along with a photo of you doing something healthy and you’ll be entered to win.
Stay tuned for more healthy campus events coming your way.
