It’s down to the wire and the U has made it into the national Top Adventure College finals. We’re in a tight race with the Mountaineers of Western State Colorado University and need your votes by 9 a.m. to take home the title. Vote here now.
The University of Utah is the clear choice for students who want to attend a university where the outdoors and adventure can be a part of their academic career. From the Wasatch Crest to the Colorado Plateau and from five national parks to 29 distinct wilderness areas, the state of Utah provides a setting for an education like none other. The department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism’s U-EXPLORE program, along with the Department of Health Education and Promotion’s Remote Rescue Training program and Campus Recreation Services’ Outdoor Adventures program, provide students the curriculum, experiences and rental equipment to make the “life” part of the work/life balance unique in the nation. It’s time to strengthen that message by being recognized nationally through Elevation Outdoors’ Top Adventure College tournament.
The tournament is in its final week. Thus far the U has knocked out Colorado State, Colorado University – Boulder, Northern Arizona University and Regis University. In this final round, the U is pitted against Western State Colorado University, a liberal arts college located in Gunnison, Colorado.
