About the calendar
The 2022 "Illustrated Views of the U" calendar, available now for purchase on UPrint, is filled with gorgeous imagery that will make you feel like you have an art gallery in your office or at-home workspace. Each month of the calendar showcases illustrated locations and images that represent the U. All the artwork was created by the U’s own David Meikle.
How to order
Wall, tent, at-a-glance and keyboard calendars can be ordered online, over the phone at 801-581-6171, via email at uprint@utah.edu, or bought at the Campus Store. They can be purchased individually or in bulk for your department. Print & Mail offers free delivery to on-campus addresses, and we can also ship the calendar to your home office for a fee.
About the artist
David Meikle was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. He attended the University of Utah and received his BFA in graphic design and illustration in 1994 and his MFA in painting in 2006.
David’s paintings can currently be found at David Ericson Fine Art and Evergreen Framing Co. & Gallery in Salt Lake City as well as Mark Sublette Medicine Man Gallery in Tucson and Anne Jesperson Fine Arts in Helper. He created the “Welcome to Utah” billboards and completed a 10’ x 23’ mural for the City Creek Center.
David is currently the art director at University Marketing and Communications and has worked for the University of Utah for over 28 years as a graphic designer. He has won numerous awards for his work for the University. David is happily married to Lacy Egbert (who has worked over 20 years for the University of Utah with Online and Continuing Education). They have six children.
