Student life on campus will definitely be different this year. But with all of the challenges come lots of great possibilities, at least here at the U. Getting involved in campus activities is the best way to make friends, learn a new hobby or skill, and prepare yourself with skills necessary for your future.
At the U, there are endless possibilities of things to explore, discover, and create. Going to class is only half the story of campus life. With more than five hundred student organizations and numerous leadership programs, students have so many opportunities to find a sense of campus community, make a difference, and tailor their university experience.
Join the first of two Virtual Get Involved Fairs on Wednesday, July 29 from 1-4 p.m. Involvement Ambassadors will kick-off the event at 1 p.m. and provide instructions and tips for getting involved on campus.
HOW DOES A VIRTUAL GET INVOLVED FAIR WORK?
- First, the student organizations and programs will be split into categories or “tables” and assigned a specific 30-minute block of time to share their information, meet with potential new members, and answer questions.
- Categories to choose from include academic, recreational, identity-based/cultural, etc. The full list of categories, the participating organizations and their respective time blocks will continue to be updated on the Campus Connect
- You get to choose which organizations you visit. Use the provided time to visit with them all or pick out a few that stick out to you. The choice is yours!
The Involvement Ambassadors team will remain available to answer any questions about student involvement or address any concerns throughout the event.
Participants can join the kick-off event at the provided link at any time; however, we strongly recommend joining at 1 p.m. if possible!
Email the Involvement Ambassadors with any questions at getinvolved@utah.edu.
The second Virtual Get Involved Fair will be scheduled for early September so keep an eye on Campus Connect Events for the exact date.
