Construction fence remains around the future home of the Kathryn F. Kirk Center for Comprehensive Cancer Care and Women’s Cancer (Huntsman Cancer Phase 5) for early utility work
Parking lot 60 near the Children’s Center will be closed indefinitely.
New construction fencing was put in place south of Circle of Hope Drive for construction of the new temporary road. Beginning in early February 2020 (dependent upon weather conditions), work will begin to build a temporary Circle of Hope Drive that will remain in place until 2022. This solution will keep vehicle access open to the front door of the Huntsman Cancer Institute, including hospital and research building entrances. Shuttle service will not be restricted due to construction. Construction of this temporary road will take 8-12 weeks to complete.
Employees that use the Bonneville Shoreline Trail system and exit the BST from this area will need to find an alternate exit nearby. The nearest recommended exits are the Dry Creek Trailhead and the Red Butte Creek Road Trailhead, as shown in the following maps. For more information on BST system routes, please refer to the BST website.
